Original employee celebrates 35 years with company LEXINGTON, S.C. (Nov. 17, 2015) – Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, is celebrating 35 years of quality without question service from its Greensboro, North Carolina service center this November. Originally opened for business in November of 1980, the Greensboro service center, located at 8718 West Market Street, features 97 dock doors and employs over 200 associates. The service center is also celebrating Pick-up and Delivery Driver James Martin, an original associate who has been with the Greensboro service center since its opening in 1980 and is celebrating 35 years with the company. “When Southeastern’s Greensboro service center opened 35 years ago, a different culture of trucking was instilled in North Carolina through our professional drivers, state of the art equipment and quality without question service model,” said Marty Coleman, service center manager, Southeastern Freight Lines. “Since opening, Southeastern has expanded numerous times in the Greensboro market, growing from 16 original employees, expanding from 20 to 97 doors and building loyal relationships with our customers over 35 years of operation.” The Greensboro service center was the 10th service center opened by Southeastern Freight Lines since its founding in 1950. Since then, the company operates 87 service centers spanning 14 states and Puerto Rico and has undergone numerous upgrades in trucks and trucking technologies.
