Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, today announced that Jacob Smith has been promoted to service center manager in Shreveport, Louisiana. Smith first joined Southeastern in 2005 as a freight handler, and has since served in a variety of positions, including outbound supervisor and inbound operations manager. Most recently, Smith served as service center manager in Monroe, Louisiana. “Jacob has excelled in many roles at Southeastern, demonstrating a strong work ethic and morale that helps keep our outstanding work culture thriving,” said Brian Schulz, regional vice president, Southeastern Freight Lines. “We look forward to the leadership and experience Jacob brings to our Shreveport team and are confident his skills will streamline efficiency across service center operations.”
