Swift Transportation has signed with Internet Truckstop, the largest Internet-based freight matching service in the transportation industry and Registry Monitoring Insurance Service (RMIS) to implement Carrier Registration Service Plus (CRS Plus).

As companies continue to find their database of qualified carriers shrinking, the CRS Plus tool allows companies to drastically reduce the time it takes to qualify new carriers and onboard them into their TMS systems.

CRS Plus provides Swift the flexibility to design a self branded, customized, and user friendly web site. New carriers visit the website and will be instantly qualified against customized rules, provide profile information including contacts, equipment, lanes and commodities they haul. A Carrier will then view and sign Swift's master agreements. The onboarding process that takes some companies more than 24 hours is now reduced to less than 6 minutes.

Carrier members of Internet Truckstop that wish to register with Swift Transportation will find a direct link to the site under the CRS Plus Link found on truckstop.com, or directly at Swifttrans.com.

Swift Transportation spokesperson says, 'We were missing opportunities to move freight because of the processes we have had in place for years. By streamlining our processes we will increase our pool of qualified carriers and move more freight. We are pleased to work with the experts at RMIS to build a customized web site specifically to our needs and by integrating the data and image storage into our internal system we will reduce the need to store hard copies of paperwork.'

CRS Plus provides the client with vital carrier profile information as well as W-9 data and Certificate of Insurance information directly from the insurance producer along with information on Authority Status, Safety Ratings, and CSA Scores directly from the DOT and FMCSA.

RMIS takes away the hassle of ongoing compliance tracking for existing carriers by monitoring insurance, DOT authority, safety information and much more, daily. Swift Transportation can retrieve the updated information in real time either directly from their custom built website, or via direct integration between RMIS and their transportation management system (TMS).
