The Grimaldi Group has added Boston as its newest port-of-call to the twice monthly, Direct ro/ro Service between the US and West Africa. Grimaldi is already accepting deliveries for its inaugural call in mid-April.

The Boston vessels carry ro/ro cars/trucks/tractors/buses and other vehicles and equipment. The service calls at Boston, New York, Baltimore and Jacksonville and sails directly to Dakar, Tema, Lome, Cotonou and Lagos.

Connecting service is provided on Grimaldi vessels to Banjul, Conakry, Freetown, Abidjan, Takoradi, Douala, Pointe Noire, Luanda and Boma.

Backing up the direct West African service is the weekly Atlantic Container Line/Grimaldi vessels via Antwerp, serving the ports of Halifax, Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah and Houston. Customers also have the option of moving overflow cargo on Atlantic Container Line ro/ro/Containership vessels versus waiting for the next direct Grimaldi voyage. No other carrier can offer this level of frequency, quality and range of logistics options to West Africa.

The Grimaldi Group operates the most modern, multipurpose ro/ro/container vessels with a network of offices throughout West Africa. Grimaldi operates its own ro/ro terminal in Lagos, Nigeria, the most modern ro/ro terminal in Africa.
