Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the nation's second largest freight brokerage, has released a new mobile application for shippers.

TQL TRAX allows shippers to monitor the movement of their freight from the convenience of their smartphone or tablet. With a couple of quick taps, shippers can see all of their loads that are currently on the road, view load stops and check calls made during transit, and contact their TQL account executive easily from within the app.

'Mobile technology allows everyone involved in the supply chain to access data any time, any place, without a laptop or Wi-Fi connection,' said TQL Chief Information Officer, George Rewick. 'TQL TRAX is a key differentiator in an industry that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.'

TQL was the first freight brokerage in the nation to introduce mobile freight finding applications to the trucking industry with the release of its Freight Finder application in February 2011. TQL now offers free mobile applications to its carriers, shippers, and employees to make the process of arranging freight transportation between shippers and carriers as quick and easy as possible.

TQL TRAX is a free application available to iPhone, iPad, and Android users. Shippers can download the app at the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
