Jeffrey Tucker, CEO of Tucker Company, Cherry Hill, NJ, has announced that the company has become a member of the American Trucking Association (ATA). The ATA, established in 1933, is the national voice for the trucking industry before Capitol Hill, regulators, the courts and the media.

'We're proud to be a member of the ATA,' stated Jeffrey Tucker, who is also an active board member of National Industrial Transportation League (NITL); Truckload Carriers Association (TCA); and Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA). Tucker's father, William, is a co-founder of the TIA.

'Today our industry is being confronted with more and more issues and policy-making matters that need to be addressed,' Tucker added. 'The ATA, along with the other industry associations, enable us to deal with shared visions and goals such as ' unified opposition to fuel surcharge legislation; a demand for increased infrastructure investment; and improvements in trucking productivity.'
