U-Freight has expanded its presence in Tianjin and relocated to new, larger premises.

The new Tianjin branch has been registered in the name of Dalian China Express International Transportation Ltd - one of five brand names operated by U-Freight in China. Headed by Frank Wang, U-Freight's Regional Manager, Northern China, the office opened at the beginning of August.

"This important development is a direct response to customer demand for our full portfolio of freight forwarding and logistics services," said Simon Wong, CEO of U-Freight.

"Our Tianjin office was established in 1994 and has been successfully serving our customers ever since. The move to a new larger office, along with the appointment of five new staff will enable us to develop and further enhance our position in Tianjin."

In China, U-Freight's network now extends to multiple facilities in 20 of the country's key trade gateways. The company operates under five brands in China - U-Freight China, Shanghai Rijin, China Express International Transportation Ltd, Shanghai Renaissance and Shanghai Jupiter - each servicing different trades, or types of industry.

"Tianjin is an important industrial coastal city and is becoming an increasingly important gateway for U-Freight. With developing electronics, textile, chemistry and petroleum related industries, we expect the demand for freight and logistics services to maintain steady growth over the next few years," concluded Mr. Wong.
