Effective April 1, 2014 Union Pacific Railroad will replace it’s intermodal facility in El Paso, TX with a new state of the art facility in Santa Teresa, NM. For the first time ever, New Mexico will have a key inland port, positioning the Santa Teresa/El Paso area as a strategic focal point for rail shipments in the south-western United Sates. Santa Teresa is ideally located on the "Sunset Route" near El Paso, TX and the Mexico border. All current service offerings to and from El Paso, TX will now be handled from Santa Teresa Intermodal Ramp (STIR), with no changes to the current schedules. For Hapag-Lloyd this only effects cargo from Los Angeles/Long Beach (USLAX/USLGB) to El Paso, TX via rail. Ramp Information: Terminal Name: Santa Teresa Intermodal Ramp (STIR) Address:  9050 Strauss Road City, State Zip: Santa Teresa, NM 88008
