Virgin Atlantic Cargo has announced the appointment of new Regional Vice Presidents for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), the Americas and Asia Pacific regions with responsibility for the commercial aspects of its in-market activities.

Nick Jones has rejoined the airline as Regional Vice President EMEA after three years with Emirates, based in Dubai. Nick has a wealth of cargo, commercial and international aviation experience gained from his time at Emirates and previously at Virgin Atlantic Airways. In his new post, he is based at London's Heathrow Airport. During his previous eight year stint with Virgin Atlantic, Nick was employed in roles within both the passenger and cargo divisions. After leaving Virgin Atlantic in 2007, Nick held a senior role in a strategic team charged with determining the future expansion of the Emirates network, encompassing fleet planning, scheduling, crew management, cargo, finance and governmental relations, with particular emphasis on Emirates' growth into Europe.

James Williams takes up the post of Regional Vice President, Americas, based in New York and responsible for Virgin's commercial cargo activities throughout the region. He was previously Vice President, Asia Pacific for Virgin Atlantic Cargo and during this period the airline successfully insourced its cargo operation and set up offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Australia. James began his logistics career in 1993 with a customs broker in Sydney before moving to Europe and joining Virgin Atlantic Cargo as an Internal Sales Agent and, later, Area Sales Manager and Senior Account Manager. As VP Asia Pacific in Hong Kong, he managed the Asia Pacific Region including the online stations of India, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia.

Dominic Jones, newly-appointed Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific was formerly Vice President, EMEA for Virgin Atlantic Cargo. In his previous post heading up the EMEA region, he successfully set up Virgin's offices in Kenya and South Africa. Having spent seven years in the UK market, his strong knowledge of business to Asia Pacific will be a strong asset as he now focuses on traffic moving from his new region to the rest of the world. Dominic Jones, now based in Hong Kong, began his career working for Walt Disney and Madame Tussauds Group in Florida and London respectively before joining Virgin Atlantic as Internal Sales and Reservations Manager.

Virgin Atlantic Cargo has also announced the appointment of Marie Epstein as Regional Sales Manager for the United States, based in New York. She has 26 years experience in the freight forwarding, brokerage and airline industry having started her career with Eagle Transport Services in New York. Since then, Marie has held sales and account management roles in the US with Pakistan International Airlines, Pan Am and American Airlines. Prior to joining Virgin Atlantic, she was Strategic Partner Manager for Delta Air Lines Cargo/Northwest Airlines Cargo.
