Getting ready for the summer season, Weber Distribution, a leading West Coast provider of dedicated warehousing and transportation logistics for more than 84 years, is warehousing 71,000 pallets of Nestl' water for distribution throughout the Western United States including Utah, Colorado, Nevada and Arizona.

The water, which is produced in both Cabazon and Ontario, California, was shipped to Weber's new 575,000 square foot facility in Redlands, California from February through April to gear up for the spring and summer holidays, including Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.

The high level receiving included 50-60 truckloads per day and Weber's staff unloaded and stored these shipments bound for retailers and grocery chains. So far, 20,000 pallets have been picked and shipped to Food 4 Less, Ralphs, Vons, Target, and Costco, among other retailers and grocery chains.

Weber also adds value for Nestl' by providing inventory control through regular cycle counts, order processing, label creation, and ensuring retail compliance associated with each order that is shipped.

Weber's comprehensive Retail Compliance program manages all of the major retailers' specific routing, shipping and labeling requirements.

At the heart of the compliance program is a custom-designed internal website that allows all of Weber's warehouses to quickly reference every major retailers' most recent routing and shipping requirements, without having to individually review and interpret routing and vendor guides.

Nestl' takes advantage of Weber's Warehouse Management System (WMS) known as LINKS, designed to supply customers with direct web-based visibility and control over their inventory. LINKS uses a combination of the latest radio-frequency (RF) equipment to track the real-time movement of Weber's customers' products into and out of its warehouses.
