Wen-Parker Logistics, Inc. (WPL), a leading freight forwarding and global logistics provider based in Mahwah, NJ, is proud to announce the launch of their Latin America Agent Network and the addition of 2 key staff members to their growing management team.   “Our focus and formal entrance into the LATAM market is designed to compliment our existing capabilities and network of owned offices in Asia and the U.S. in an effort to maximize synergies among all 3 regions,” says Steven Emanuel, President and COO of Wen-Parker Logistics, Inc. Emanuel further commented “this will enable our clients to capitalize on increasing Asia-LATAM and intra-Americas trade flows, growing LATAM consumer demand and the ever-changing global sourcing patterns including the recent economic viability of near sourcing.” Central to WPL’s LATAM strategy is its Miami Gateway, which has been operational since November 2013.  The WPL LATAM gateway operation is located just minutes from Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami and is managed by Ed del Pozo.  WPL MIA is a full service freight forwarding and logistics operation complete with its own IBEC certified warehouse currently providing export assembly and consolidation and import de-consolidation for both air freight and ocean freight as well as small scale pick & pack and distribution services for a number of U.S. and LATAM clients.  To assist with the launch of its Latin America Agent Network, Wen-Parker Logistics has recruited Walter Monasterio as its Managing Director for Latin America.  Monasterio, a well-known and highly respected industry veteran with over 40 years experience in both the JFK and MIA markets and across the LATAM region, has past experience with mega forwarders such as AEI and Schenker and will be the architect of WPL’s LATAM agent strategy.   “Latin America is a very difficult region to operate in for freight forwarders of all sizes and as such it is of critical importance to WPL’s existing clients and future prospects that we have the right agent partners in place.”  “WPL currently has agency representation in more than 21 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean and we will no doubt continue to grow.”  Monasterio went on to say “by combining WPL’s existing network in Asia and the U.S. with those of our new LATAM agent partners we will have the ability to provide unique solutions among all 3 regions with a focus on service which is what WPL has built its reputation upon over the past 18 years.”
