WFS earns top customer recognition

100% on-time performance in 2008

Achieving 100% on-time performance for ramp cargo handling throughout 2008 has earned the Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) team at Newark International Airport in New York a special award from customer, Air Transport International (ATI).

WFS has worked with ATI in Newark since 2005 and handles twice daily DC-8 freighter flights for the airline every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as well as a daily cargo operation each Monday and Friday. ATI carries domestic air cargo for BAX Global in the United States and contracts WFS to provide loading and unloading of its DC-8F aircraft.

In a letter to WFS, ATI stated: ‘It is with great pride and admiration that we acknowledge vendor’s that have sustained outstanding performance over the past year. Your EWR station has maintained a phenomenal 100% on-time performance rating for the entire 2008 calendar year. During this time, Worldwide Flight Services in EWR handled aircraft operations with zero delays. We are very proud of your staff’s hard work and dedication.’

Dennis Esnes, WFS’s Managing Director of Cargo Terminal Services responsible for the New York Region, said: ‘We are delighted that our Newark team have been given this important customer recognition for their professionalism and determination to maintain the highest possible service standards for ATI. We are proud of them all!’
