Yamaha Motor Europe N.V and Yusen Logistics (Benelux) have signed a contract that will enable Yusen to manage Yamaha’s European warehouse operations as of January 1, 2014.

Yusen Logistics Benelux will take over the warehouse activities in Yamaha’s European spare parts distribution center in Schiphol-Rijk, the Netherlands. As a result, 69 workers of Yamaha will be employed by Yusen Logistics Benelux.

Yamaha’s fully-automated 30,000-square-meter facility stores more than 120,000 different spare parts (SKU) and handles up to 3,000 orders each day.

The outsourcing of the warehousing activities to Yusen Logistics is part of Yamaha Motors’ continuous efforts for efficiency improvement.
