Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. has been named the 2014 Intermodal Carrier of the Year by Continental Mills in recognition of its outstanding customer service, continuous improvement and exceeding monthly key performance indicator (KPI) measurements. This is the third year in a row that Yusen Logistics has received this prestigious award. In honor of this achievement, Continental Mills has made a $1,000 charitable donation given in Yusen Logistics’ name to the Make a Wish Foundation in Chicago. Yusen Logistics’ Seattle Branch also received the Western Region Service Star Award by Continental Mills for operational excellence. Yusen Logistics has been providing intermodal service for Continental Mills for more than five years, coordinating rail and truck movements between Chicago and Seattle. For its annual Carrier Awards program, Continental Mills evaluated service providers on key performance indicators, including on-time pick up, on-time delivery and tender acceptance ratio. Yusen Logistics is a top performer in these areas, and continues to work with Continental Mills on process improvements. “We are honored to receive these awards from Continental Mills,” says Jason Abramowitz, Branch Manager, Chicago, Yusen Logistics. “They reflect our commitment to quality and superior service. We truly value our close collaboration with Continental Mills and look forward to continued success together.”
