Intermarine’s newest heavy lift ship the M/V Industrial Echo is presented with a Maiden Voyage plaque to celebrate the first call of the vessel at Industrial Terminals in Houston, TX. The plaque was presented by Ernie Farrand of Industrial Terminals to Captain Raul Lopez, Master of the Industrial Echo. Attending from Intermarine were also Ken Burns, Jason Martin, and Sheri Escobar. Delivered in mid January, the vessel called the port of Houston in early July to join the South America services fleet.
The M/V Industrial Echo is the fourth in a series of four new sister ships entering the Intermarine fleet. Designated as the Eagle class vessels, these 10,000 dwt ships feature dual 250 metric ton cranes that may be combined for 500-ton lifts. With an overall length of 139 meters and beam of 20 meters, the ships have a similar hull design as the seven Century and six Diamond class vessels operated by Intermarine services, but with increased cargo carrying capacity. Intermarine is a worldwide provider of ocean transport as well as inland heavy haul transportation services for breakbulk, specialized project and heavy lift cargoes.
