The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) is pleased to announce that experienced transportation and logistics professional Lisa Diaz has joined the Marketing and Trade Development team as Manager of Foreign-Trade Zone and Customer Service. In her new position, Diaz will serve existing customers operating within JAXPORT’s Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) #64 and work to attract new businesses looking to take advantage of the cost- and time-savings the FTZ offers. The U.S. Department of Commerce recently approved the expansion of FTZ #64 bringing the total number of North Florida counties included in the zone to eight. U.S. Customs and Border Protection supervises operations of FTZ program for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Diaz has more than a decade of experience working in transportation and logistics. Most recently, she served as Director of Corporate Communications for Corporate Traffic Logistics, a Jacksonville-based international third-party logistics provider. In this role, she ensured the company brand was communicated among internal and external audiences including clients, carriers and vendors. Diaz previously managed client relations for the The Grimes Companies, a customs-bonded third party logistics warehouse, where she served as the direct contact for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. In this position, she was responsible for the reporting and management of all customs required documentation. She also represented the company with both the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Food and Drug Administration, assisting with all inspections, inventory and records management. Diaz is active with a number of professional organizations in the Jacksonville area. She is the second vice president of the Transportation Club of Jacksonville, a member of both the First Coast Manufacturers Association and the Jacksonville Chapter of the American Marketing Association and has served on the Dean’s Council for Continuing Education at the University of North Florida.
