As per May 1, Maersk will change the structure of its corporate Human Resources functions, and combine the Group Human Resources Function with the Headquarters Human Resources Function. In that regard, William S. Allen is, as of May 1, appointed Group Senior Vice President and Head of Group Human Resources, including Headquarters Human Resources. Bill will transition from his current position as head of Human Resources for the Container Business where he has been instrumental in the organisational development and planning for Maersk Line, Maersk Logistics and Container Inland Services. Prior to his current position, Bill served as Head of Human Resources for the company’s North American business activities where he reengineered its human resource team, talent management and HR processes. Bill brings over 20 years of experience leading human resources functions within highly competitive industries and, today, serves on the Board of Directors of the Human Resource Policy Association (HRPA) in Washington, DC. From March 1, 2008, Peter S. Linnemann is appointed Group Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources for Maersk Line. Peter is currently Head of APMM Headquarters HR as well as Maersk Oil HR, and brings extensive experience to his new role. Peter joined the Group in 1982 as a management trainee and has more than 23 years of experience in the container shipping industry. Half of his career has been spent within human resources functions, and Peter has held commercial, operational, and human resources leadership roles throughout Europe and Asia as well as in corporate functions. In connection with these appointments, Oscar Rosendahl will leave the Group as of May 1. Oscar has been a valued colleague and has made significant contributions to the Group throughout his 30 year tenure, not least the recent Values and Leadership Programs.
