Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Service GmbH (AMTES) has been granted a permit by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to provide maintenance checks to airplanes registered in the United States of America.
AMTES GmbH is authorized to maintain Boeing 747-8F (GEnX), B-747-400 and B747-200/300 (CF6, PW-4000) type airplanes up to and including A Check at Leipzig/Halle Airport. The Enhanced Rating C14 enables the company to repair wheels and brakes removed from US-registered В747-400/8F type airplanes. In the event that customers want to use its line maintenance station in Frankfurt, AMTES GmbH will take the necessary action to get the station certificated by the FAA through the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). “The U.S. FAA approval reflects the great efforts of all of our personnel and enables us to be extremely optimistic about our future growth. We are very interested in developing relationships with American air carriers and are ready to welcome them to our hangar facilities and to meet our personnel to demonstrate the high quality of our services,” said Ildar Ilyasov, Managing Director of AMTES. AMTES GmbH is a maintenance and repair service provider for Western built airplanes. Its main operation base is at Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ), where it operates an 8,500 sq. mts. hangar facility. It also operates a further line maintenance station at Frankfurt am Mein Airport.
