SEKO has announced that Steven Goldberg, the Company's COO, has been named to the Board of Directors of the Airforwarders Association (AFA), the industry voice for air cargo companies and their partners.

Goldberg has more than 20 years of transportation and logistics experience. As one of SEKO's strategic partners, he has owned and operated the SEKO-Louisville office since 1985 and served on SEKO's advisory board from 1989 to 1993.

Prior to joining SEKO, Goldberg worked with CF Air Freight as terminal manager.

"Mr. Goldberg will play an important role in our effort to continually raise awareness and to assist in the positive growth of the dynamic global logistics industry,' said Brandon Fried, executive director of the Airforwarders Association. 'His experience and leadership demonstrates his commitment to the industry we serve. We are pleased to add his expertise and experience to our organization.' The Association's Board of Directors currently consists of 15 seasoned airfreight professionals from around the country. This group of industry thought leaders help to craft the messaging of the Association, raise industry-wide awareness for the role forwarders play in air transportation, as well as exploring and facilitating ways in which the forwarding industry can improve and expand services to shippers, among many other services.

"I am honored to accept the esteemed opportunity to serve on the Airforwarders Association's Board of Directors," said Goldberg in accepting the appointment. 'On behalf of SEKO, I look forward to contributing to the continuing promotion of enhanced standards of operational excellence that impact this vital segment of the global transportation industry in today's worldwide economy.'
