Air France Cargo, one of the world's leading cargo carriers, said it will use Traxon Europe's Cargo Data Management Portal or CDMP, to monitor and optimize all of its global air freight shipments.

Traxon CDMP is a user-friendly, web-based application enabling Air France Cargo to efficiently monitor and evaluate all of its air freight processes in compliance with the high- quality standards of the International Air Transport Association's Cargo 2000 initiative. Traxon CDMP also allows Air France Cargo to provide IATA with monthly quality reports.

With Traxon CDMP, Air France Cargo will recognize dramatic improvements in its air freight processes, which will result in reduced costs, increased efficiency and higher customer satisfaction.

Moreover, Traxon CDMP will feed information to Air France Cargo's internal data processing, allowing it to match in-house data with the official quality requirements of Cargo 2000. With Traxon CDMP, even air freight companies that are not yet members of the Cargo 2000 initiative can take advantage of the opportunity to prepare for membership, since Traxon CDMP facilitates Cargo 2000 certification.

Wolfgang Michler, Traxon Europe's Head of Projects, is convinced of the benefits Air France Cargo will gain from complete reliance on CDMP. 'Traxon CDMP offers Air France Cargo robust options to monitor the process compliance of its entire handling organization as well as its interfaces with customers. We believe this will give Air France Cargo an additional push forward on their way to operational excellence.'

Air France Cargo is one of Traxon's long-term customers and regularly uses a wide range of Traxon services, among them e-Booking, e-Air Waybill, e-Status update, Air Mail, Web Hosting and Customs compliance systems.
