The 2017/2018 Premier League season kicked off last month, but global aviation services group Air Partner has been on the ball all year, flying top teams and their management to pre-season tours, friendly matches, tournaments and European fixtures. To date in 2017, Air Partner’s European offices have operated 79 football-related flights, flying over 5000 passengers more than 90,000 miles to 21 different countries. Aircraft used have ranged from the Saab 340 to the Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger airliner. Whilst the Commercial Jets team has been particularly busy arranging flights for teams, media and fans, the Private Jets team has also seen strong demand for its services, flying prominent players, managers and VIPs to various destinations across the globe.  Air Partner has worked with the sports sector for several decades now, and this part of its business continues to go from strength to strength. Over the last three years, the group has seen an increase in sports activity, with the last six months alone up significantly compared to the same period last year. The group works very closely with the football industry in particular and so has invested in experienced individuals who have close relationships with clubs and their travel management companies. Representatives from the company will also host a stand at Soccerex in Manchester from 4-6 September in order to further expand their network within the industry. Chartering enables football and other sports clients to work to their own schedule, save valuable time, and travel in comfort and privacy. By avoiding queues at check-in, flying to the airports closest to the match venue and using private terminals, players are also able to avoid unnecessary fatigue and hassle. Air Partner always goes the extra mile for its sports clients, ensuring that catering is in line with athletes’ requirements and all other needs are met – whatever these may be. What’s more, the group also offers a CharterPLUS guarantee, which gives clients reassurances including additional insurance coverage and additional financial protection, for total peace of mind. Commenting on Air Partner’s recent sporting performance, Trading Director Clive Chalmers said: “It has been a great year so far for Air Partner on the sports front – particularly football – and I would like to thank my colleagues for all their hard work. I look forward to carrying this success on through the season, as we gear up for another busy year when the 2018 FIFA World Cup lands in Russia.”
