Fairfax, Va.- Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning today issued the following statement praising CNN for raising the international trade issue and the Trans-Pacific Partnership at the Republican presidential debate last night: "We thank CNN and Jake Tapper for making the vital issue of international trade front and center in the CNN Republican presidential debate last night. Finally, in a debate format before the critical Ohio primary, voters got to hear from each candidate where they stand on international trade and the Trans-Pacific Partnership. "Yesterday in the wake of releasing a Pat Caddell survey on voter attitudes towards the Trans-Pacific Partnership, showing Republicans overwhelmingly opposed to bad trade deals that benefit other countries more than the U.S., we urged the debate moderators to address this very topic. "And it is clear that Sen. Ted Cruz will vote against the Trans-Pacific Partnership when it comes up and Sen. Marco Rubio will vote in favor of it, providing voters a clear choice between the two."
