Aloha Air Cargo announced today the promotion of Patrick D. Rosa to chief operating officer. Rosa previously served as the company's vice president of maintenance and has been employed with Aloha Air Cargo and its predecessor, Aloha Airlines, for more than two decades.

In his new role as chief operating officer, Rosa will oversee the day-to-day operations for Aloha Air Cargo including flight and cargo operations, while continuing to manage the Aloha Tech Ops division, which performs maintenance, repair and overhaul services for nearly 12 different airlines flying into Hawaii.

'Rich with industry knowledge and well respected by his peers, we are confident that Patrick will provide excellent leadership for Aloha Air Cargo, as the company continues to expand its scope of services for Hawaii and beyond,' said Eric Van Andel, president of Saltchuk Air Cargo.

During his 21-year tenure with Aloha, Rosa has held various positions of increasing responsibility, from line mechanic, to senior manager, through director to vice president and now chief operating officer.

Van Andel is currently serving as interim president for Aloha Air Cargo, as its former head, Mike Malik, recently stepped down from this position due to personal reasons. Malik was a valuable asset to Aloha Air Cargo for the past two years and the company is grateful for his contribution.
