Antonov Airlines together with Bertling Logistics have successfully accomplished delivery of three power substations from Portugal to Argentina. The entire operation required three An- 124-100 flights to airlift nine outsize transformers from Porto, Portugal to the capital of Argentina.
This high profile transportation required a well-coordinated effort between the specialists of the airline and Bertling to make this smooth operation a reality. The sub-station had to travel seamlessly from the manufacturer’s facility (Efacec) to the end user in Argentina (Edesur). All three Antonov-124 flights with very demanding and sizeable transformers have been performed up to the stakeholders’ expectations. Antonov’s Commercial Director – Mr. Kulbaka commented that: “Once again An-124-100 aircraft proved its intrinsic value and versatility in servicing the needs of the most sensitive and demanding sectors of the global economy. It has been a pleasure to work on this project with our partner Bertling Logistics whose technical expertise and unrelenting focus made this operation a mutual success”.
