PHILADELPHIA - BDP International (BDP), a leading privately owned global logistics and transportation solutions company, has been awarded the APICS Company of the Year 2017 Award by the APICS Philadelphia Area Network (PAN) Chapter, a premier association for supply chain management professionals.   The Company of the Year Award recognizes organizations who demonstrate a strong partnership with APICS, and promote the advancement of supply chain and operations management by investing in training and development opportunities for their employees.   “We’re honored to receive this award from PAN-APICS, as it confirms BDP’s ongoing investment in our employees’ education,” said BDP Chairman and CEO Richard J. Bolte, Jr. “As an active APICS supporter, we’re always encouraging BDP employees to volunteer as leaders for the Philadelphia area chapter and to take advantage of programs offered through APICS.”  BDP employees were presented with the Company of the Year award at a mid-June ceremony in Philadelphia. In attendance were Marcia Lyssy, Chief Human Resources Officer; Matthew White, Director of Human Resources for North America; Mark Trasatti, Director of Talent Acquisition; and Josh Gordon, Talent Acquisition Specialist.  BDP, which has 144 offices in 36 countries, serving more than 134 countries, participated in several APICS events over the past year, providing advice on professional development, supply chain education, resume writing and career counseling to attendees.
