Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) To/From Mediterranean and West Coast European Region: The BAF applicable for the month of April 2008 will be USD 456.00 per TEU/USD 22.80 W/M LCL.

To/From the UK, North West Continent, Scandinavia and Baltic Sea Region:

The BAF applicable for the month of April 2008 will be USD 456.00 per TEU/USD 22.80 W/M LCL plus additional USD 9.00/TEU USD 0.45 W/M Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge.

Currency Adjustment Factor (CAF) The CAF applicable for the month of April 2008 will be +15.0 %.

Westbound Business Plan 2008

Customers are advised that FEFC Principals agreed an FEFC Business Plan for Westbound cargo of which the second stage is as follows:

A Conference rate increase for Dry and Reefer containers of US$ 200 per TEU.

Heavy Container Surcharge

A Heavy Container Surcharge of US$ 200/container will be applied to containers with a gross (tare and payload) weight in excess of 18 tonnes with effect from 1st April 2008.

Peak Season Surcharge

Member Lines of the FEFC wish to inform customers that the following PSS will apply:-

From Asia (excluding Japan) to North Europe/Baltic/Scandinavia and the Mediterranean USD 158.00 per TEU

North PRC 20' Container Premium

FEFC Lines wish to remind the trade of the North PRC 20' Container Premium of US$ 250.00 for cargo loaded at the following

NPRC ports: Yantai, Lianyugang, Dalian, Qingdao and Tianjin/Xingang.

Suez Canal Transit Surcharge A recent study undertaken by the Lines into the tariff announced by the Suez Canal Authority from 1st October 2007 has identified major increases in the costs of transiting the Suez Canal. Lines therefore have to announce their intention to apply a Suez Canal Transit Charge of US$ 9/TEU with effect from 1st April 2008.
