In accordance with the DOT's hazardous materials regulation, a HAZMAT employer must ensure that its employees is trained conforming with the requirements of 49 CFR 172.704(a). Artemus' eight-hour training course is in compliance with the requirements of 49 CFR 172.704(a) and will also educate on general awareness of handling hazardous materials. Employees who prepare, transport or offer hazardous materials for shipment are required by the employer to provide documented training that meet the requirements of CFR 172.704. Major penalties and fines for non-compliance will be assigned if there is not proper certification.
