Tideworks Technology®, Inc., a premier provider of full-service terminal management and planning software solutions, has announced that Batumi International Container Terminal (BICT) has successfully deployed Tideworks’ Mainsail Vanguard®, its core marine terminal operating system (TOS); Forecast® by Tideworks, its port community web portal; and Traffic Control™, its equipment dispatch system; to complement BICT’s previous deployment of Tideworks’ Spinnaker Planning Management System®. BICT, located in Adjara, Georgia on the Black Sea, is a container terminal, ferry and dry bulk handling facility operated by International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), a Philippines-based company. It is the main transportation point in the Black Sea basin and the only maritime terminal in Georgia where containers are handled and stored at the same location. “We are excited to help BICT expand its technologies to include Tideworks’ Mainsail Vanguard, Forecast and Traffic Control,” said Michael Schwank, president of Tideworks. “ICTSI is a large and well-respected international terminal operator, and it has been our privilege working with BICT to successfully upgrade their TOS.
