Global logistics firm to continue attracting and retaining talent PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 22, 2015 – Marcia Lyssy has been promoted to the newly created position of senior vice president of human resources for global logistics firm BDP International. Effective Jan. 1, 2016, Lyssy will oversee all aspects of human resources strategy and operations globally.  BDP serves more than 1,000 customers from the company’s corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, Pa. and a broad global network in which it owns and has branded joint venture operations in 32 countries and 130 offices with over 4,200 employees in major trade markets around the world. With the inclusion of BDP’s partner affiliates, the company’s network expands to 287 offices in 124 countries.

Lyssy’s primary duties will include talent management, compensation and benefits, engagement, workforce planning, talent acquisition, diversity, and organizational design and effectiveness. “Marcia is one of our most respected employees and has consistently set high standards,” said BDP Chairman and CEO Richard J. She will also work with BDP organizations in every region and country to create a robust pipeline of future leaders. Since joining BDP in October 2007, Lyssy has progressed through HR leadership positions in the United States and, most recently, as global director of talent management. She has played a lead role in implementing a number of HR initiatives, including mentoring, leadership development, employee engagement and global performance management. Lyssy earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in business administration from Temple University. She resides in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., with her husband and daughter.
