Bridge Terminal Transport, Inc. (BTT) recognized several terminals that excelled in performance during 2004, at an Annual Meeting held in Williamsburg, VA, in July.

The Terminal of the Year Award, based on a broad range of criteria involving operations, finance, safety, and customer service, was presented to the Nashville terminal, Frank Brodrick, terminal manager. Second and third place awards were given to Salt Lake City, Steve Lindsey, terminal manager, and San Diego, Lynn Thomas, terminal manager.

Several departmental awards were presented that recognized a terminal's excellence in a specific area. The Houston terminal (Tim O'Connor, terminal manager) received the award for Most Efficient Operation; Detroit (Micca Myers) for Best Use of Technology; Atlanta (Scott King) for Best Financial Performance; and Savannah (Paul Gigis) for Best Safety Performance. The managers accepted plaques on behalf of their staff members.

The first annual Terminal Manager of the Year award went to Micca Myers, manager of the Detroit facility. This individual award was based on a qualifying set of criteria but also on the manager's contribution to the overall success of the company, professionalism, and ability to manage a successful organization and team. Micca received a trophy honoring her achievement.

"We are justifiably proud of all of our winners," said Clark Brown, president, Bridge Terminal Transport, Inc. "Our people work hard to uphold the reputation and values of our company, and it gives us particular pleasure to be able to recognize their contributions."
