As per January 1, 2011, Mattijs ten Brink is appointed to take over the position as Senior Vice President Sales & Distribution for Air France-KLM Cargo and Martinair Cargo from Jean Charles Foucault. At the end of 2010, Jean Charles Foucault will retire from his airline career.
Jean Charles Foucault was responsible for Cargo Sales for the Paris Region (UTA), from 1985 until 1990, and from 1990 until 1992, for the Sales Division for Europe (UTA). As from 1992 until 1993, when UTA and Air France merged, Mr. Foucault was responsible for the Marketing Service (Conception of Freight Products, Advertising & Publicity, and Promotions). He was appointed General Director at the Sodexi express hub at CDG in 1993. Since 1997, Mr. Foucault has been Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing for the Air France Cargo Group. In October 2005, Mr. Foucault was appointed Senior Vice President Sales & Distribution AF-KL Cargo
Mattijs ten Brink held various management positions in Royal Nedlloyd Group between 1989 and 1993. He was a Sales & Customer Service Manager for UPS in the Netherlands between 1993 and 1996. Mr. Ten Brink worked as a consultant for KLM Cargo, establishing the global Airmail Unit between 1996 and 1998. He joined the company in 1998 as Director South Europe for KLM Cargo, based in Paris until 2000. Between 2000 and 2003, he was the Director Global Perishable Logistics for KLM Cargo. From 2003 until 2005, he was Vice President KLM Cargo North and South America, based in Chicago, and after the merger in 2005, Vice President North and South America for AF-KL Cargo until 2006. Mr. Ten Brink has been the Vice President Global Operations of KLM Cargo since 2006. In this last role, he is member of the Joint Cargo Management Committee with responsibility for worldwide AF-KL Cargo operations.
