CHICAGO - Buddytruk, a Santa Monica, CA headquartered company, providing on-demand moving and delivery services via its app, is pleased to announce its launch into the Chicago market.  True to its name, Buddytruk looks forward to bringing its own brand of helpful, friendly convenience to the north and south sides and all neighborhoods in between.  Buddytruk is the world's first social hauling application – think peer-to-peer shipping or ridesharing for things.  This is their fourth market along with Austin, Orange County, CA and Los Angeles, CA.  Chicagoans can now order a Buddytruk to help with transport one item, or several, just a few blocks or across town.  Buddies, as they call their drivers and movers, not only drive the items to their desired location, but help load and unload, as well.
To coincide with the new city launch, Buddytruk is very excited to announce its new partnership with Value City Furniture.  They will now be the preferred delivery partner for the furniture and interior accessory chain.  Customers will enjoy the same high-quality delivery service that Value City has always provided, but with more flexibility on timing.  In the past, trucks needed to be scheduled in advance for each delivery, meaning longer wait times.  A customer may have been one of many deliveries for the day, with not very much clarity on the exact delivery time.  Buddytruk can make same- day, individualized deliveries when it is convenient for the customer. "People Helping People" is the company's ultimate mission and Buddytruk plans to bring the same grassroots philanthropic efforts Chicago that they have brought to the first three cities, but with a local twist.  Say Brian Foley, CEO, "Chicago is well known for being a collection of individual small communities, from Lincoln Park to Wrigleyville, each neighborhood seems to be its own small community. As a company built on community ourselves, we were excited to come to such a vibrant and diverse city, and we plan on getting to know each and every community in greater Chicagoland."
