Applauded for consistent execution and alignment to a strategic vision, C.H. Robinson was named Driscoll’s 2014 U.S. Carrier of the Year during their first annual carrier recognition event in Watsonville, CA.  During the event, Driscoll’s supply chain executives presented awards to a select group of transportation providers based on their ability to consistently exceed Driscoll’s expectations as well as demonstrate understanding of Driscoll’s vision, mission, and values through their daily work.  “Driscoll’s is proud to honor transportation providers, like C.H. Robinson, that go above and beyond by acknowledging our unique and often challenging business and making sure that those practices and values are implemented every day,” said Michael van Horn, director of delivered sales transportation at Driscoll’s.  C.H. Robinson was recognized for its flexible transportation solutions that support Driscoll’s delivered sales through more than 40 shipping origins and flexible volume capacity during seasonal surges. C.H. Robinson was honored for high performance in areas like overall volume, tender acceptance, cold chain management, and on-time performance.  “The relationship between C.H. Robinson is committed to continuous process improvement in order to provide extraordinary service and help facilitate Driscoll’s mission.”  This honor follows a number of C.H. Robinson achievements in 2014 including earning Partner-level supplier in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program and being selected as the #1 3PL by the readers of Inbound Logistics for the fourth year in a row.
