Canadian Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz said on Monday that he is considering all options, including regulations, to ease a backlog of grain movement to ports by rail.
Ritz, speaking in Winnipeg after meeting with railways, grain companies and provincial agriculture ministers, said the railways are focusing on moving grain to British Columbia ports, rather than to Thunder Bay, Ontario or U.S. destinations.
