CargoGulf, a global neutral NVOCC (Non-vessel operating common carrier) operator has extended its LCL consolidation service to include the fast growing trade route between Asia and the US East Coast.

CargoGulf's new all-water service is based on weekly, Sunday vessel departures with fast transit times including 26-day delivery from Singapore to New York. Hans-Henrik Nielsen, Managing Director for CargoGulf says: 'CargoGulf identified the need for an alternative to the traditional Pacific Coast gateway of Long Beach/Los Angeles.

'The service was necessary due to the growing demand from freight forwarders,' he adds. 'In today's fast moving NVOCC environment it is important we look to improve and offer innovative products that meet our clients' needs.'

The company has a dedicated feeder system in place to ensure all Asian cargo, originating outside of Singapore, arrives in a timely fashion, in fact 'just in time' to make the weekly US bound connection. Similarly cargo arriving via the New York gateway is transported to destinations throughout the US.

CargoGulf has also recently added service ports in Chittagong, Phnom Penh, and Ho Chi Minh in its bid to aid US-based freight forwarders who considered these countries as extremely challenging.

Mr. Nielsen says, 'The move to expand across the region is in line with the company's strategy to strengthen our presence in Asia and to be known as a 'truly global' NVOCC carrier. As part of a strong neutral agency network, we will also tap on our global purchasing power for more competitive rates that will benefit our customers.'

Fully compliant with HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) policies, Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) regulations and US customs, CargoGulf ensures the highest standards are met and is an approved AMS (Automated Manifest System) Filer.

In addition to LCL consolidation services, CargoGulf's portfolio includes FCL Container "Box" services and General FCL services. It operates its own fleet of containers and provides liner services between Asia, Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East. It also operates Groupage services to Europe, Scandinavia, Mediterranean, Middle East and, USA.
