Carlile Transportation Systems has acquired the assets of Keytrans, Inc., an Alaska-based transportation company serving Alaska and the Pacific Northwest for thirty years. With the addition of Keytrans, Inc., to Carlile's Transportation System network service will be enhanced through:
  • Greater freight tracking visibility and reporting tools via the Internet. (www.carlile.biz)
  • Nine terminals accessible throughout Alaska, Canada and the continental United States.
  • Increased customer service with an employee base of more than 535 employees company-wide.
  • Equipment and infrastructure expansion with a fleet of 200 trucks and 1,500 trailers.

Keytrans' employees, service commitments, rates, and systems will be fully integrated into the Carlile system ensuring a smooth transition for all customers. Final transaction will take place after midnight, February 28, 2006.

Other Keystone companies related to warehousing and other business are not part of the transaction and will continue to operate as they have in the past.

As part of Carlile's 25th anniversary celebration during 2006, the company has also expanded its operations at the Port of Tacoma with the construction and grand opening of a new, state-of-the-art terminal.
