CenterPoint Properties announces the completion of a built-to-suit container yard for KW International, an international third party logistics provider, at CenterPoint Intermodal Center – Savannah. KW International commenced operations at the 3.14-acre built-to-suit property on January 1. John Neely and Danny Chase of Colliers International represented CenterPoint and KW International, respectively, in the transaction. KW International’s new facility is located on 3.14 acres, four miles from the Georgia Ports Authority, adjacent to Highway 307 and within minutes of I-95 and I-16, providing the ultimate location advantage for goods distribution. “CIC - Savannah is an ideal location to provide KW International with superior connectivity to the port and major transportation lanes to accommodate their shipping requirements,” said Matt Yang of CenterPoint. “We are pleased to welcome KW International to CIC-Savannah and believe by locating the container yard within the park the company will enjoy access to a broad range of clients coming to and from the port.” Facility features include a 900 SF office, 105 trailer-parking stalls and 12 car-parking stalls. “CIC-Savannah is strategically located four miles from the front gate of the Garden City Terminal and nearby one of our largest automotive clients, which provides reduced transportation-related expenses and increases our productivity to move products quickly and efficiently,” said William K. Jin, President/CEO of KW Companies, Inc. “CenterPoint was able to develop a customized container yard that provides excellent access to transportation nodes surrounding our building, helping to improve our supply chain.”
