Power plant developers and operators have reported plans to install more than 6 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind capacity at sites mostly along the U.S. eastern seaboard over the next seven years, according to our latest Preliminary Monthly Electric Generator Inventory report. Bureau Veritas (BV), a world leader in testing, inspection and certification, has supported the design, construction and entry into operation of the Aframax tanker, ‘Green Admire’, the first of a series of 4 vessels, which has been delivered to Aegean Shipping Management SA on Friday 24th June 2022 by COSCO Yangzhu in China. Despite its conventional design, the vessel includes a number of innovations and environmental initiatives aimed at limiting air and sea pollution.

Operable atmospheric crude oil distillation capacity, our primary measure of refinery capacity in the United States, totaled 17.9 million barrels per calendar day as of January 1, 2022, down 1% from the beginning of 2021.
