Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has once again landed the prestigious Air Cargo Charter Broker of the Year prize at the ACW World Air Cargo Awards for 2010 following awards in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

For the fourth consecutive year, worldwide freight forwarders and cargo airlines have chosen the global aircraft charter specialist as their favorite provider.

The ACW Broker Award is unique in the industry and has been won by Chapman Freeborn each year since it was established in 2007. George Mikhailov, Manager of Chapman Freeborn's China team, collected the award on behalf of the company's worldwide offices at a ceremony in Shanghai, which was attended by leading figures from the cargo aviation industry.

The accolade marks the end of a busy 12 months for Chapman Freeborn. Alongside day-to-day work for freight forwarders and logistics providers, the company provided support for a number of emergency airlifts including the coordination of over 100 charters to Haiti to help those left homeless by the earthquake earlier this year.

Elsewhere, notable operations included an Antonov 225 charter to transport four giant pieces of oil and gas equipment totalling almost 150 tons from Houston to Sao Paulo. The flight was the first time that the world's largest fixed-wing aircraft had been used for an operation in South America.

The latest award completes a successful month for Chapman Freeborn after Chris Chapman, founder and Chairman of Chapman Freeborn Airchartering was inducted into The International Air Cargo Association's (TIACA) 'Hall of Fame' in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development and growth of the global air charter market.
