AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS - Following the 15th anniversary of CHEP operations in Poland, C.H. Robinson has been honored with the CHEP ‘Long term business relationship – The longest transportation cooperation’ award at the CHEP anniversary gala held in Warsaw, Poland on June 18, 2015.
CHEP works closely with its business associates to improve the supply chain of their customers and develop innovative service offerings that meet customer needs. With this award, we want to differentiate C.H. Robinson as a business partner and show how together we changed the supply chain management process in the Polish market,” explains Kinga di Salvo, Managing Director of CHEP Poland and Baltics. Apreo Logistics, which was acquired by C.H. Robinson in 2012, first took care of CHEP’s growing domestic business by handling 100 to 200 shipments per year. The relationship kept growing and today C.H. Robinson manages almost 20,000 shipments per year, including domestic transportation as well as cross border transportation between Poland and the Baltics countries, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. The service portfolio has grown over the years to include warehousing services where C.H. Robinson, amongst others, handles the refurbishing of returned CHEP pallets. Arkadiusz Glinka, director of transportation at C.H. Robinson in Central Europe explains, “CHEP Poland is one of our most valued customers in both the domestic and cross border markets. For over 12 years, we have grown together as organisations. Being honoured with the CHEP award is a catalyst that enlightens our business relationship.”
