CIMC has hired two key executives to support their growing business in North America.
South Gate, CA - Edgar “Ed” Gill has been hired as executive director of strategic accounts responsible for developing new customers for CIMC IE throughout North America along with assisting current and future customers with their specifying and service requirements. Gill has extensive experience in supply chain, transportation and logistics industries, most recently as director of intermodal products and services at Star Leasing Company. “Ed is a great addition to our sales and marketing team; in his short time here, he’s already brought in significant new business,” noted Frank Sonzala, CEO. “Even better, he’s a perfect fit with our corporate culture and team task-oriented approach to initiatives.”
Mike Murray will be director of warranty – quality control and training when he joins CIMC IE in September. Murray is a 37-year veteran of the transportation industry, including time at UPS corporate, Treadroc Tire and TRAC Intermodal. Prior to taking the CIMC opportunity, Murray held the position of vice president of maintenance for Direct ChassisLink Incorporated. He has been a member of The Technology and Maintenance Council of ATA for twenty plus years and is currently Chairman of the S7 (Trailers and Bodies) study group. “I have been working with Mike in the transportation industry for more than three decades and am confident that he’ll be a huge asset to CIMC, “Sonzala said. “We’re lucky to have him join our ranks; his expertise, background and experience would be hard to match.”
CIMC has also announced a couple of promotions: Johnny Perez has been promoted to purchasing manager and Lina Maruri was promoted to sales and marketing administrator at the North American Headquarters.
