CMA CGM: Emergency Port Congestion Surcharge - Import to Costa Rica

For several weeks, lines have been facing hectic and unstable port situation in Moin (Costa Rica), due to civil works resulting in the immobilization and closure of one pier out of three for an indefinite period.

In response, CMA CGM decided to take the necessary actions such as transferring vessels at Limón port, adjusting vessels speed…etc, all this leading to extra-costs.

CMA CGM will therefore implement an Emergency Port Congestion Surcharge as effective December 1st, 2016 (B/L date)

All Import cargo to Costa Rica

Quantum: EUR 100/TEU
