Consolidators International (CII) has joined Cargo2000, an organization geared to improve the quality standards of the worldwide air cargo industry.

The organization, sponsored by IATA, the trade association of the international airline industry, brings together some 60 of the major airlines, freight forwarders, ground handling agents and truckers located at 350 sites around the world. Cargo2000 has as its goal a quality management system that can be utilized by the $100 billion international air cargo industry.

Cargo2000's newest member, CII, is a leading airfreight forwarder and wholesaler based in Los Angeles. The company, in business sixteen years, was founded by Julian Keeling to provide quality services to direct and indirect shippers. While CII's range of operations is worldwide, the company has specialized in traffic between the US, Australia and New Zealand. The forwarder has a growing share of the South Pacific "heavyweight" air cargo market.

In announcing his company's membership in Cargo2000, President Keeling stated, "CII is proud to join one of the leading organizations in air freight with its measurable and proven steps to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. We believe membership in Cargo2000 will aid CII in providing enhanced service to our customers while simultaneously improving our own internal procedures and processes. Cargo2000 will be of substantial help in retaining current customers and generating new business."

Consolidators International has joined Cargo2000 as a Regional Association Member.
