BLAINE, Wash. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) would like to inform the public that due to ongoing construction projects at the Pacific Highway Border Crossing’s truck cargo lanes, wait times could be longer than usual. The construction project requires CBP to close cargo lanes two and three from now until April 24 leaving only lane one open. From April 27-30, lanes two and three will reopen while lane one is closed. In order to alleviate wait times, loaded trucks can use Sumas as an alternative crossing while empty trucks can utilize both the Lynden and Sumas ports of entry. Once construction at the cargo lanes is completed, construction on the bus and passenger lanes will begin. Those partial lane closures will start in May and run through the end of June. CBP appreciates the public’s patience during this project and apologizes for any inconvenience.
