ContainerPort Group, Inc. (CPG) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest terminal location in Charlotte, NC at the North Carolina Port’s Inland Terminal. CPG’s newest terminal will specialize in international container drayage over the Port of Wilmington and the rail ramps in Charlotte. North Carolina has proven to be an attractive region of intermodal activity for CPG, which also operates a drayage terminal and the Norfolk Southern ramp in Greensboro. CPG Charlotte’s acreage will provide its customers with empty and loaded container storage options to include loaded lift capability, complementing the company’s existing terminal services network.
“The opening of the Charlotte terminal is part of CPG’s long term strategic plan of increasing its business in the Southeast United States,” said President Russ Graef. The Charlotte terminal is conveniently located at the heart of manufacturing and distribution sites in the Southeast, serving the 1-85 and 1-77 distribution corridors.
