Crowley announced that Tony Menendez will become director of business development for the company's logistics services unit. In his new position, the seven-year Crowley veteran will continue to be domiciled in Miami and will report to Miguel Artiga, vice president sales and marketing. He will also work closely with Leo Del Calvo, general manager of the Crowley's apparel transportation services.

"We are looking forward to having Tony on the logistics team," said Artiga. "He is well known and respected in south Florida and has an outstanding track record with clients doing business in the region. His primary focus will be on assisting with our logistics sales activities in the South Florida market."

For the past seven years, Menendez has served as a senior account executive for Crowley's Latin America liner services unit. He brings over 25 years of experience in transportation related sales to the logistics group.

Crowley's logistics unit is a third-party logistics provider headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, and is part of the corporation's liner segment. The company offers supply chain management, freight consolidation, warehousing, transportation management, airfreight and customs brokerage, as well as cross-docking services throughout the United States, Central and South America. The company's transportation management center enables clients to combine and tailor services as needed, and taps into the company's sophisticated materials and shipment tracking technology.
