Davies Turner Air Cargo Ltd (DTAC), the air cargo arm of Davies Turner Plc, the UK's leading independent freight forwarder and international logistics and transport company, has extended its presence at East Midlands Airport (EMA). This month, which also marks the company's 25th anniversary, it has taken a 2,956 sq ft unit at the Air Cargo Centre, off Beverley Way within the airport campus. The new premises offer larger, more suitable accommodation for Davies Turner Air Cargo's needs. Davies Turner Chairman, Philip Stephenson explained that since opening its first office at EMA in 1996, business has expanded steadily and now the company required more space to cater for its customers' needs at the UK's second-busiest cargo airport. He added: "The relocation will allow the continued expansion of this successful branch whilst staying on the airport complex." The deal was masterminded by local property consultancy Innes England, whose associate director, Stuart Waite, said that refurbishment has been completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. He added: "East Midlands Airport is a major cargo hub - second only to London Heathrow - so the estate is well positioned for companies servicing the airport or utilising the airport for logistics." The new EMA location forms part of a network of 20 Davies Turner branches throughout the UK and Ireland.
