CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Direct ChassisLink, Inc. (“DCLI”) is pleased to announce today’s opening of the Inland Premium Pool (IPPZ) located at 1711 Alameda Street in Wilmington, California. This pool offers motor carriers and other drayage providers who operate at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach another option when it comes to their chassis equipment. The assets available in this pool all come equipped with radial tires and LED lights – two of the most frequently requested equipment upgrades – and can be reserved via DCLI’s online reservation system to ensure equipment availability. “Having reliable access to premium, high-quality chassis equipment can make a significant difference in our customers’ ability to meet the expectations of their clients,” said Brian Taylor, president of DCLI. “No equipment provider understands this critical role in the supply chain better than DCLI.” “Our customers tell us quite often that they want options when it comes to their chassis equipment,” said Ryan Houfek, chief commercial officer with DCLI. “Port congestion, equipment pick-up lines — any such delay to a trucker’s schedule can impact service levels to their customers. The IPPZ offers them another choice.” In addition to providing better driver productivity, the premium chassis in the IPPZ are the ideal equipment for longer drays. When a chassis is reserved and picked up, truckers can keep it out for as long as the equipment is needed and DCLI has developed a tiered pricing structure to accommodate longer-term usage. Days 1-7 of usage will be billed at the current daily market rate of $24.95. Day 8 and each day thereafter will be billed at $20.00.
