DHL announced the signing of a 300 million Euro global agreement with Sandvik Mining & Construction.' The five-year contract sees DHL Global Forwarding provide a spectrum of services on a global scale to support the growth plans of Sandvik Mining & Construction.

Sandvik, the global industrial group, which currently trades in 130 countries and DHL Global Forwarding, have a long-term cooperation spanning over 25 years and this contract with Sandvik, is a testament to the fundamentals of that partnership and the understanding both organizations have of each other's growth objectives.

Sandvik Mining & Construction, has the market's most comprehensive range of products for rock excavation operations in mining and civil engineering and is a world-leading provider of equipment and solutions for mineral exploration, underground mining in hard and soft formations, surface mining and bulk materials handling and specific areas of the construction industry, such as quarrying, tunneling, demolition and recycling and other civil engineering applications.

DHL Global Forwarding places Sandvik as one of its most strategic customers in this industry sector.

The Sandvik Mining & Construction team was led by Anders Olsson, Vice President Logistics supported by Patrik Nygren and Sune 's'n. The DHL Global Forwarding team consisted of Guy Hachey, Per-'ke Isakson, Peder Jensen and Roger Olsson.

The contract signed today by Anders Olsson and Roger Olsson, Sub-regional Director UK, Ireland, Nordics, Baltic's, Benelux and France, will formally commence on 1st January 2009.'
