Jacksonville, FL - Diversified Port Holdings (DPH), a maritime port logistics business, was awarded the JAXUSA Industry Leader Award for the first quarter of 2017. The award was presented to DPH’s CEO, Jim Dillman during a February 28 luncheon held at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.

The JAXUSA Partnership Industry Leader Award is presented to a company each quarter that has shown outstanding growth and community involvement. The award winner is selected by JAXUSA senior leadership and is based on criteria including continued growth in the region, innovative work, and a commitment to the community it serves. Jerry Mallot, President of the JAXUSA Partnership stated the following about DPH, “Diversified Port Holdings has been extremely instrumental in engaging with the community, supporting the growth of the port, and are positioning themselves to be a leader in the wood pellet export sector. DPH has also been an outstanding company in our community advancing international trade and the use of port and other facilities. They are a leading warehouse distribution and port operator and made great contributions to our growth which needed to be recognized.”

DPH continues to expand its footprint on the East Coast with recent acquisitions in Ft. Lauderdale and Savannah. Its strategic plan comprising a focus on people, process, and technology sets the Company apart from competition. Just recently, DPH have invested in a new terminal operating system to improve cargo tracking and efficiency of terminal operations. JAXPORT recently renovated its berth at Blount Island (weighing in at 1800 pounds per square foot) allowing DPH to capture heavy lift and project cargo opportunities that few ports can handle.

DPH and its employees are dedicated supporters of the community and are actively engaged with United Way, K9’s for Warriors, and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Company executives sit on multiple Boards including The YMCA and Urban League. DPH employees volunteer with the Sulzbacher Center, and multiple organizations associated with United Way.
